For Those Who Wait

As with many print projects, the Bicycle Baroque deck is behind schedule. Originally planned to publish in mid-December, the United States Playing Card Company, USPCC, elected to move two of the four Designer Series Collection decks, including Bicycle Baroque, to 2026. All the finishes have been approved, and the cards are currently in production.
The tuck case will have both gold and bronze foil over embossed details, with the interior featuring a gold metallic fleur-de-lis pattern. The card backs will include a gold metallic ink edgeless border with a coordinated smaller inner border. Originally, this was going to be cold foil printing, but it was changed to metallic ink to present a more aged appearance.
With the delays came the opportunity to develop companion products using the playing card artwork. Once a delivery date from USPCC is set for the playing cards, the online shop will open, offering apparel, custom-engraved carat cases for displaying decks, and limited-edition prints. There will also be a rotating gallery of original artwork for sale. After a career spanning over forty years, original works remain from Stutzman’s commissions for MAD Magazine and DC Comics, as well as artwork for Broadway shows and various book covers for best-selling authors.
You can also consider giving the gift of play. Incremental gift cards will be available for that special someone who thought they had everything. Custom playing cards take up very little space and are a great excuse to start hosting unique game nights!
